Future Pathways

Find your path, one step at a time. The guidance site I built and run for students in Grades 6 to 12 and their parents.

Future Pathways is a free, searchable guide to careers, courses, countries, universities and opportunities, written in plain language for TIPS students and their parents across four campuses. I built it, write for it, and run it as Future Pathways (FP) Coordinator — the university guides and career posts that started on this blog now live there, next to deadlines, by-grade starting points and a section for parents. It is a separate site with its own name so that students can share it without thinking about mine: futurepathways.github.io.

My Role

Built, written and run as part of the Future Pathways programme I coordinate.

  • Programme design. Future Pathways is the career guidance and placement support programme across four TIPS campuses: 1:1 counselling, Subject Choices Day, university fairs, student portfolios, alumni and college admissions. The site is its public face.
  • Content. The university virtual tours, admissions guides and career posts are mine — fact-checked against official university and board pages, with sources listed.
  • Build. A static site with full-text search, tags, a deadlines feed and a CMS so the FP team can publish without touching code. Zero hosting cost.
  • Counselling behind it. 500+ students guided toward undergraduate decisions; CAP-accredited and ICCC-certified counsellor.
